InnoTrans 2016 made Berlin the top meeting place for the global rail industry from September 20 to 23. After four days of the event, the trade fair had the best balance in its history. Compared to the previous event, the number of exhibitors rose by seven percent and the participation of trade visitors by four percent. 2,955 exhibitors from 60 countries presented their product ranges and comprehensive services at the Berlin exhibition center. The net area of the fully occupied exhibition center in Berlin was 112,000 square meters.
127 innovative vehicles were presented on the open-air and track area. The highlights also included the total of 149 world premieres – convincing evidence of the innovative strength of the rail industry and the radiance of the trade fair as a marketing platform and innovation driver. 137,391 trade visitors from over 140 countries were drawn to this year’s InnoTrans in Berlin. The satisfaction of the trade visitors was over 90 percent.
